Welcome to Spring.  It’s March.  I am off to New York to interview Chuck D and Gil Scott Heron for a BBC radio documentary  on the latter.

Alongside Jacqueline Wilson I am patron of The Letterbox Club and gave the keynote speech at The Booktrust conference this month.  The booktrust administrate The letterbox Club.   You can hear the twenty minute speech  here.  I am teaching at John Osborne’s House for The Arvon Foundation. Details are on the left of this page. 

On radio in April I'm presenting six programmes on radio four, one on Gil Scott Heron and the second a five part series of programmes called Into The Gap. Keep a watch on the  BLOG for offline news online or on facebook    Tons of pictures on facebook.
