....And in Central London on The Thames this month it’s the   Launch of The South Bank and a refurbished Royal Festival Hall.  I’ll be artist in residence there and it  begins   8th/9th10th June.  But what is an artist in residence after all? Overall my job is to inspire and be inspired. Each worker - from the security guards to the kitchen staff to the artistic director -   will receive a poem by writers I like, every two weeks. I’ll be curating some events over the next year and writing a book - Poems from The South Bank.  I’ll be based at the south bank for one or two days per week.  Based on the Thames in the heart of London it is  Britians most talked about Arts Centre.    It’s an amazing place -you got to come down.  I’ll be up in Manchester later on in the month at The Royal Exchange Theatre  (see readings). The blog is up to date check it out. In July a new poem of mine will be lit up on the front of The Royal Festival Hall.
