Welcome to My Webpage. It's my birthday on 21t of this month.  This picture is of me at 18 years old at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival where I acted in and wrote my first play. 

The final decision is made this month for The George Devine Award at The Royal Court for which I am a judge. That's a prize of £10,000 ($20,000).

On May 15th I'll be reviewing on Simon Mayo's Book Panel which won a Sony Gold Award. Saturday Live wins a Sony Gold award this month. Summer Festivals begin and later in the month I'll be at the number one literary festival of England The Guardian Hay Festival. 

Keep a watch on my BLOG for offline news online. I keep it up to date.   Lots happening this month.   May 10th is Saturday Live - The Poets edition - at The Southbank centre. It's sold out!

Late news I'll be judging The UK's most valuable poetry prize The Forward Prize with awards of over £15,000 ($30,000).

The cover of my next book Listener has been chosen. It is a photograph by international photographer Rankin.  The book will be out in Autumn 08.
