AUGUST 2006

Thanks for dropping by. Welcome  to my web page.  August is a slow month on the readings front which means it should be a faster month on the writing front. A week in a villa in Valencia shall be good for the creative juices. That's the idea anyway. I'll probably end up lying  down allot, counting clouds.

Last year The Proms featured a 30 minute concerto written by fraser trainer influenced by my poem called Advice For The Living. I got a recording of the piece today, a year later.  And I've organised the recordings page so that if you click you get to hear the poems.

I’ve  finished writing and recording  a doc for BBC Radio three on the poems and life of Edgar Allan Poe to be broadcast on BBC Radio 3, in the concert break of one of the BBC PROMS. Its out in August at some time.

Check out the interviews on the right hand side of this page.

I think it may give you a different view of who I am and what I am about.

Just got back from Morcambe. I am working with Pete Moser of MMM on a project called Long Walk. It's about Journeys. Morcambe is where twenty three chinese cocklers died earlier this year in the quicksand and tides of the bay. We walked on it - a long walk. If art isn't at the heart, then where is it.

This month sees me mostly in Shoreditch Spain and Melbourne.

Be well!

See what I said in different months
