     WELCOME

Welcome to my webpage where I hope to share with you the news and all of what's going on in the world of Lemn Sissay.

It’s Autumn and LISTENER is out now.  The first poem from the book  was published in the Guardian in late sept. You can read it here.   There’s a national tour from October through November. The events listing is here. Why not drop by. .

I have the honour of judging The Place prize for contemporary Dance and The Forward Poetry Prize with combined  winnings  of nearly fifty thousand pounds. Both shall be announced in Autumn.

My sculpted poem The Gilt of Cain was opened last month by Bishop Desmond Tutu in The heart of Londons tumultuous financial district, part of the poem reads “cash flow runs deep but spirit deeper/you ask yourself am I my brothers keeper”.David McAlmont Ken, Michael Vissocci Bishop Desmond Tutu Lemn Sissay

I’m off to the arctic with Cape Farewell in a ship full of artists which should be a blast. You can follow our journey here and see the list of amazing artists from Laurie Anderson to Jarvis Cocker.  We’ll be blogging just to keep the fingers warm.

September saw the launch of The Letterbox Club. I am a proud to be a patron. Please visit their website and if you represent a local authority sign up.
