SALANDER is an exhibition of poems. It is the result of 6 – 10 workshops with aspiring writers. In this case they were young people in care. They typed the poems then suspended them via washing lines inside a darkened room. Then Salander was ready for the public.
With a torch each person (alone) enters the darkened room. The music inside the room is Gorecki’s Symphony number 3. he door shuts behind and the entrant discovers the inner world of the poems and the writer. Then the exit door opens on the other side. Salander is named after the heroine of Steig larsson’s Girl With A Dragon Tattoo. Poetry is the ancient equivalent of computer code.
